Structural Welding Services

Structural Welding For Real World Loads

We specialize in structural welding to ensure durability and safety for your construction projects. Our work includes structural beam welding, metal framework, columns, braces, and high strength joints that are fit, aligned, and welded to perform under real world loads, not just look good on paper.

What We Build And Tie Together

Structural welding is the backbone of Mannon Metal Works. We focus on the connections that keep buildings, platforms, and equipment supported and stable day after day, through vibration, weather, and real use.

Structural beam to column connections Moment, shear and brace connections Columns, posts and embedded plates Catwalks, platforms and mezzanines Stair stringers and landings Equipment frames and support steel Retrofit plates and reinforcement Repair and modification of existing steel

Project types: commercial build outs, light industrial projects, farm and ag structures, retrofit work in existing facilities, and targeted reinforcement where something has started to move, crack, or sag.

Shop and field capable Input: engineered drawings, contractor details, or field measurements with photos for smaller projects.

Fit Up, Weld Quality And Inspection Readiness

Strong structural welding starts long before the first arc. We pay attention to preparation, fit up and access so welds have the right throat size, penetration, and continuity to actually carry the loads they are supposed to carry.

Joint prep and beveling Proper root opening and land Controlled weld sequences to limit distortion Use of backing, run off tabs and access holes Visual inspection and clean up Coordination with inspectors and engineers

Welding processes: primarily Stick and MIG for structural work, selected based on access, environment, and the procedure that best fits the application.

Documentation: heat numbers, welder identification and basic weld mapping can be provided on projects that require traceability. Coordination: we work with your GC, erector, or engineer to align on details before steel is cut and welded.

Structural Standards, Codes And Reference Resources

Many structural projects reference established codes and standards for steel design, detailing and welding. These resources are commonly used by engineers and inspectors, and we are comfortable working on projects that call them out by name.

How we plug into your project: provide your structural drawings, connection details and any referenced codes or specifications. We will align on scope, access and sequencing so the welding portion of the job supports your schedule and passes inspection without surprises.
